Technical lead for all recruiting at one of Europe's largest retail groups — responsible for rationalising a fragmented landscape spanning SAP e-Recruiting, SAP HR, SuccessFactors Recruiting, SmartRecruiters, DaVinci Prescreen, and paper-based processes across multiple business units.
The challenge
The organisation operated a heavily fragmented recruiting technology landscape across its portfolio of retail brands. SAP e-Recruiting and legacy SAP HR were in place as core systems, while individual business units had independently adopted SuccessFactors Recruiting, SmartRecruiters, and DaVinci Prescreen alongside significant manual, paper-based processes. There was no unified data model, no consistent process architecture, and significant tool overlap and duplication across the portfolio.
Our approach
Full technical ownership of recruiting technology and processes across the group — including vendor management, configuration, and technology governance. Mapped the full landscape, identified redundancies, and built the technical case and migration path for platform consolidation. Drove alignment across business unit TA leads and IT stakeholders on a unified architecture.
Outcome
Unified platform direction established with a clear migration path away from legacy SAP e-Recruiting. Recruiting technology landscape rationalised across the group. This engagement formed the foundation of a decade of subsequent enterprise TA technology practice.
